The headline isn’t 30 years of military service, it’s 30 years of real leadership experience. During my military career I saw thousands of different leaders and teams, and have now added five more years in the corporate world. In those combined 35 years, I’ve witnessed the good, the bad, and the ugly, and my biggest takeaway is that if you’re not a good human, you’ll never be a great leader - period.
